Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
- Attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Regular use of warehouse equipment and machinery.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 10 - 20 pounds varies during the day.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Manual dexterity to handle and manipulate objects and operate warehouse equipment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Receiving and Processing Shipments:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Unload goods from delivery trucks and transport them to storage areas.
- Verify the quantity and condition of received items against purchase orders and packing lists.
Storage and Inventory Management:
- Organize and store goods in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Perform regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Ensure that orders are accurately filled and delivered on time.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems safely and efficiently.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
General Warehouse Duties:
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of clutter - per Employer Standards
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
**Job Description:**
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. This role involves ensuring that all warehouse processes are run smoothly, efficiently, and safely to meet organizational standards and customer expectations.
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly
Pay: $18 per hour to start
Expected hours: 40 per week
