Technical Product Owner Opportunity **Overview** CTG’s Melbourne Office specializes in developing software for warehouse management systems, with our largest client being a major US food and beverage manufacturer. This is a full-time-salaried position. Our work culture provides autonomy, a place to learn and grow, and work with people you like. We offer a great deal of flexibility but the position is not remote. **Primary Responsibilities** The technical product owner (TPO) is a senior team leadership position that requires very detailed software development experience. The primary responsibility of the TPO will be to architect, define, and manage the creation of new products and new features for products and systems in the supply chain logistics domain. With new feature requests coming from our customer(s) on a regular basis, the role is to define, scope and estimate this new work. Once the new work is approved for execution, the role is to define and manage the product backlog feeding a set of scrum teams. The TPO owns the work, the definition of the work, and the definition of when this work is complete. This is not an exhaustive list, but provides perspective: The TPO will: + Have a deep technical understanding of software concepts such as: + Design Patterns + Microservice Architectures + Embedded and Application Development + Software languages including C/C++, Java, Python, and C# + Be capable of understanding a project at a systems level + Be capable of creating, deriving, and writing quality requirements, user stories, and designs + Be capable of easily breaking down features into Epics and User Stories that can be executed by Scrum Team Members and have a solid understanding of how the stories will be implemented + Be capable of creating concepts of operation documents for new features + Be capable of creating concepts of test documents that describe automated test features + Be the communication conduit to scrum teams executing work within your product scope + Work independently and in teams with minimal supervision + Enjoy finding the root cause and solving challenging problems + Self-driven to continue learning new concepts, software systems, tools and technology and a desire to teach others **Desired Qualifications** + A BS in computer engineering or computer science + Several years’ experience (5+) as a software developer + An understanding of Lean production techniques as they apply to software development + An understanding of Pull systems Interested in applying, please send your resume to: kimberly.watzek@ctg.com. **About CTG** CTG, a Cegeka company, is at the forefront of digital transformation, providing IT and business solutions that accelerate project momentum and deliver desired value.
