Systems Engineer Job Number: 352699 Category: Systems Engineering Description: Job Title: Systems Engineer Pay Rate: $39.50 - $65.00/hr DoE Location: Orlando, FL Zip Code: 32825 Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Contract Schedule: 1st/2nd Shifts Keywords: #SystemsEngineer #EngineeringJobs ***Active Secret Clearance Required to Start*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. * Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. * Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. * Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be a US Citizen * Active DoD Secret Clearance * Bachelor's Degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience * Linux Server Administration (RedHat and SLES) experience * Windows Server and Desktop OS experience * DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e. Sec+ CE) * Knowledge and experience with scripting (Ex. Windows(PowerShell)/Linux(shell scripting) * Prior experience in requirements and verification * Ability to work third shift PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS: * Knowledgeable in information systems networking * Experience working with VMWare/ESXi, VSphere, and Hyper-V for automated configuration/updates * Experience with Excel, Agile, Atlassian tool suite (JIRA/Confluence) and IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM). * Application/Software: GIT, McAfee, Nexus, Ansible * Experience in configurations mgmt. of packages and patches, version control and service packs Benefits: * Medical / Health Benefits with multiple plan options, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental and Vision / glasses / prescription contact lens and eye test options available. * On the job training / cross-training to develop and expand skills, creating opportunity for advancement and personal development.
