The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a **Senior Program Manager, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.** This position can be home-based.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on **September 30, 2027,** with possibility of extension.

**Responsibilities**
Responsible for the development and implementation of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes among patients in real-world acute care clinical settings throughout the US. Responsible for identifying, building, cultivating, and managing key high-level partner and customer relationships in a variety of healthcare sectors to achieve program goals. Responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing participating sites, liaising with site-level quality teams including high-level clinicians and C-suite members. Responsible for managing, monitoring, and consulting on site and system-level data, promoting evidence-based metrics for national benchmarking, including those that strive for health equity. Responsible for leveraging key high-level Volunteers to develop a research infrastructure, conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science.
+ Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.
+ Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate interoperability between originating source data to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry, when needed.
+ Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program’s Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders.
+ Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.
+ Collaborate with Project Leadership and key high-level partners to aid in developing a research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.
+ Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.
+ Analyze, collate, and present results of trainings, education, and data to continually evaluate next steps and needs for program. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.
+ Create, update, and disseminate marketing materials when appropriate. Assist with other marketing aspects such as website maintenance.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
+ 5 to 8 years relative experience
+ Experience in healthcare or in a public health-related organization, clinical registries, clinical studies, patient registries, or quality improvement programs.
+ Experience and proven record of program development and program management of a healthcare project, including experience in influencing performance without direct line accountability
+ Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills
+ Experience and proven comprehensive record of Microsoft Office suite skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
+ Ability to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision
+ Ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of American Heart Association staff, volunteers, and the public.
+ Access to reliable transportation and ability to maintain valid driver’s license and auto insurance
+ Ability to travel up to 10% local and overnight stay
**Preferred Experience:**
+ Knowledge of assigned health concern or disease, or acute care CVD
+ Master’s degree preferred
**Compensation & Benefits**
The expected pay range will be $92,000 to $122,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. The American Heart Association invests in its people.
