SR. IT BUSINESS ANALYST
As a senior IT business analyst, you’re responsible for analyzing and delivering critical solutions that support SpaceX’s mission of making humanity a multi-planetary species. In this role, you will lead cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams through complex initiatives to improve IT operations and efficiencies. This role requires excellent leadership skills, hands-on technical contribution, an action-oriented disposition, flexibility, and the propensity to flourish in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Identify operational and engineering challenges within the organization; determine root cause, and develop appropriate process improvements or corrective actions
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to distill requirements and design effective IT solutions
+ Manage projects and execute to tight timelines while effectively communicating to and influencing stakeholders
+ Partner with support function peers, managers, and executives to provide analytical value and support, mainly focusing on developing and exercising capabilities to tell stories with visualization of data
+ Develop, standardize, and continuously improve service level agreements, key performance indicators, and other reliability metrics for IT systems
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience leading technical projects with cross-functional teams' OR 9+ years professional experience leading technical projects with cross-functional teams
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Experience working with server solutions (hardware and software) in Linux or Windows environments as well as enterprise-grade network infrastructure including switches, routers and firewalls
+ Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
+ Proficiency with statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and visualization
+ Project management experience in high consequence/low margin engineering systems
+ Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high stress environments
+ Demonstrated ability in drafting executive communications
+ Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to recognizing and overcoming technical challenges
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Willing to work extended hours or weekends as necessary.
+ Must be able to travel - up to 10% work week travel may be required to other sites
+ Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Pay Range:
Sr. IT Business Analyst: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00/ per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
