Software Developer

StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time**Software Developer, Journeyman**,to join ourteam at NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL.NAWCTSD is the Navys principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies.The Software Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: **Essential Job Duties:** - Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. - Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. - Applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. - Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. - May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, developspecifications, and performance requirements. - Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. **Travel Requirements:** - N/A **Experience Requirements:** - Candidate must have approximately 3 or more years of experience with software development. - Programming C++ - Linux, virtualization, low level network protocols - Requires knowledge of software engineering functions including: requirements development, configuration management, quality assurance, testing, reliability and maintainability, cost estimating, risk analysis, metrics, and human factor integration. - DoD acquisition and military training experience preferred. **Education Requirements:** - B.S. in computer engineering or computer science. **Certification Requirements:** - Linux certification, Security+ or other DoD approved Security Certification **Security Requirements:** - U.S. Citizenship required. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. **About StraCon:** StraCon is dedicated to supporting our government clients and warfighters by Enhancing their Operational Capability.
