Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Communications Test Systems team. You will be responsible for developing documentation from start to finish, writing C# code, creating drawings for new cables, troubleshooting with external test and measurement equipment, and collaborating with other groups to resolve issues. You must become familiar with the system internals to be proficient in this role. Responsibilities + Develop documentation from start to finish, including test requirements documents, validation plans, validation reports, and version descriptions. + Write C# code for various applications. + Create rough drawings for new cables showing wire connections. + Troubleshoot using external test and measurement equipment. + Collaborate with hardware and software groups to troubleshoot issues. + Understand and capture customer requirements. + Define test scenarios to verify the performance and parametric data of tactical communication equipment. + Develop new test applications to validate requirements for both RF and digital systems. + Analyze technical OEM documentation, schematics, and UUT behavior to determine test requirements. + Design physical interface connections and generate necessary documentation such as electrical schematics or wire lists and bills of material. + Develop software to implement test requirements using object-oriented APIs. + Configure test system instrumentation and UUT settings, apply input signals, and verify corresponding expected outputs. + Perform debug and troubleshooting procedures to resolve failure conditions. + Use Life Cycle DevOps and revision control software for source and document data. + Perform software validation and verification testing. + Occasionally travel and interface with customers. + Work independently or with a team to meet project goals and ensure best practices. Essential Skills + 7 years of experience with software development in C# or C++ or other Object-Oriented languages. + Fluency in and ability to demonstrate Object-Oriented Design practices. + Experience with communication and/or bench test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators. + Basic knowledge of RF systems and measurements. + Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in tactical/airborne radio logistics. + Experience with MATLAB and LabVIEW. + Knowledge and ability to demonstrate understanding and methods of RF measurements. + Experience with software-defined architectures. + Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. + Experience with developing documentation from start to finish. Work Environment This position offers a 9/80 work schedule. Travel and customer interface may be required. The team focuses on radio test equipment, specifically for military support, and is based in Orlando, FL. The group is on the verge of winning a major multi-year Army program, which will create more growth opportunities in the future. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $67.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
