POSITION SUMMARY The Analyst/Associate – Indirect Tax (Sales & Use Tax) is primarily responsible for preparing or assisting in the preparation of Sales/Use tax returns including accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex US sales & use tax returns. + Aptitude to follow firm standards and apply them accordingly. + Provide assistance in resolving tax related queries and notices. + Monitor, document and apply any changes in tax rates, tax laws for sales and use tax return preparation. + Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide industry knowledge and experience. + Establish and maintain relationships with engagement team members at various levels. + Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS + Associate’s degree in business-related major preferred. + 1 to 2 years of customer service related experience preferred. + Critical thinking and analytical skills. + Aptitude for learning tax technical matters, workflow processes, and technology (proprietary tools). + Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills. + A process improvement and knowledge-sharing mindset. + Execute effectively in cross-cultural business settings. + This role is an on-site role and will require individuals to work in person from the assigned office. + Ability to work additional hours as needed. #LI TC1 About Us At Grant Thornton, we believe in making business more personal and building trust into every result – for our clients and you.
