**THE WORK**
We are seeking a pro\-active, seasoned, results\-driven Senior Quality Engineer who can operate independently as a QE Expert, utilizing their technical expertise and business acumen to make impactful decisions to drive innovation, quality excellence, and customer satisfaction\. As a key member of the Hardware Quality Engineering department, you will support multiple programs at our Orlando site, ensuring that products meet customer expectations, contractual requirements, and industry standards\. You will collaborate with cross\-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and program management, to identify and mitigate quality risks, and implement corrective and preventative actions to continuously improve program performance\.
Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as a Quality Expert, making independent decisions that prioritize product quality, Lockheed Martin imperatives, and customer objectives\.
· Support assigned programs to ensure product compliance with contractual, industrial, and systemic requirements\.
· Collaborate with engineering teams to review and approve technical data packages and provide input on design reviews to ensure quality and reliability\.
· Develop, implement, and monitor quality plans, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with AS9100 and other relevant regulations\.
· Review and approve build documentation for sell\-offs\.
· Engage with Configuration Management \(CM\), Program Control \(PC\), and Program Management on a regular basis\.
· Support quality\-related activities, including:
o Management of Non\-conforming Material and Reclamation areas\.
o Manufacturing build and packaging\.
o Kit delivery and inspection\.
o Shipping and logistics\.
· Provide floor support, including:
o First Article Inspection and Production Process Verifications per AS9100\.
o Investigation and resolution of problems and issues\.
o Monitoring, auditing, and support to manufacturing, assembly, and shipment\.
· Interface with internal departments, customers, and DCMA \(as required\) to resolve problems and issues, and support deployment efforts and site\-level installation\.
· Support field nonconformance investigations and corrective/preventative actions and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions\.
**Basic Qualifications:**
· A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience\.
· A minimum 5 years of experience in a QE role with a master’s degree, 7 years of experience in a QE role with a bachelor’s degree, or 10 years of experience in a QE role without a degree, with a focus on product development, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management\.
· Strong knowledge of quality principles, standards, and regulations \(e\.g\. AS9100, ISO 9001\)\.
· Excellent analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills\.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross\-functional stakeholders\.
· Experience with statistical analysis, inspection and testing methods, and quality control systems\.
· Strong leadership and project management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously\.
**Desired Skills:**
· Advanced degree in Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field\.
· Certification in quality engineering \(e\.g\. CQE, CMQ/OE\)\.
· Industry Certifications \(e\.g\. IPC\-610, IPC\-620, J\-STD\.\)
· Experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, or other process improvement methodologies\.
· Familiarity with industry\-specific quality standards and regulations \(e\.g\. aerospace, IPC standards\)\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
