Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Operations Support, CBP Watch, Communications Center Division (C-100), located in Orlando, Florida. Responsibilities Joining Customs & Border Protection will allow you to use your expertise to analyze and advise management on a wide range of program activities which will impact the entire agency. Duties include but not limited to: Managing, and directing the day-to-day operations of the CBP Watch Communications Center Division to ensure smooth continuity of operations as well as timely and accurate operational information flow to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and CBP senior leadership. Managing and directing the facilitation, processing, and dissemination of information to develop and complete operational and situational pictures for significant issues of interest to CBP and DHS management officials. Exercising delegated managerial authority and participated fully with the Operations Support leadership in setting a series of annual and multi-year long and short-range goals and objectives. Qualifications Experience: You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Managing projects involving broad and in-depth analysis and evaluation of programs. Participating in conferences, working groups, meetings, and presentations involving policy issues that have local, national and international consequences. Advising or consulting on managerial duties over budget, personnel, and programs which involve the staff, subordinate offices, higher authorities, and other agencies. Partnering with other Federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to incident management, or preparedness programs.
