Partner Store Market Managers are responsible for creating and driving a strategy to increase the overall annual growth of unit sales within a portfolio of retail stores for a market. This is accomplished by first partnering with territory and regional managers to build out tactics that will drive a sales culture within a store. Partner Store Market Managers analyze and identify trends in performance metrics reports (e.g., previous sales) and customer feedback to help formulate sales optimization strategy across a portfolio of stores. These data are used to influence, coach, and educate Partner Store Consultant and retail staff on sales techniques and product knowledge (e.g., One Drive, Windows, MS Office, cloud storage, etc.).

**Portfolio Management**
Manages a portfolio of Microsoft products within complex retail stores across multiple locations with the goal of driving sales. Provides localized insights to determine proper distribution of resources (e.g., Consultant, expert) to achieve these goals. Prioritizes time based on the needs of the business, drive times, etc.
**Problem Solving**
Identifies root causes in problems at market level using feedback, metrics, and trend analysis of finance, operations, and customer information. Asks questions of a large number of retail partner's sales teams to gauge correct selling behaviors and process breakdowns. Balances the goals of Microsoft and the complex stores retail partner. Synthesizes information and strategically devises plans to resolve root issues. Identifies potential problems and proactively solves for them.
**Strategic Localized Planning**
Develops territory strategies and plans with the retail partners and Microsoft Regional Manager to achieve unit growth strategy for each complex store. Provides feedback regarding gaps up to Microsoft managers, and addresses the unique gaps of each market. Executes the Microsoft strategy and works with the retail partner's District Managers and Senior Director to develop partner strategies and tactics for each complex store to increase sales growth and revenue.
**Adapt Communication and Goals**
Manages shifting priorities and goals based on fluctuating performance results across more complex stores, and a larger amount of Consultants, Channel Managers, and Category Managers Operations Managers. Communicates across various career levels of retail partner positions (e.g., Territory Managers, Senior Director, sales staff).
**Collaborate**
Networks and partners with a range of the retail partner's leaders to gain buy in (e.g., Microsoft Field Leaders to align the strategy and product knowledge, Microsoft Consultant to drive execution of unit growth goals across all categories). Participates in virtual teams with Microsoft corporate by creating and delivering on project execution (e.g., on boarding, diversity and inclusion) to increase performance and effectiveness for a large amount of staff.
**Consult**
Advises and influences the retail partner leadership (e.g., Senior Director, District Manager, General Manager, Supervisors) regarding all facets of the Microsoft business demonstrating return on investment (ROI). Drives change management execution. Provides feedback from visit and recaps to complex retail store partners, Microsoft Regional Managers, and Consultants. Identifies talent at the retail partner's request.
**Customer Focus**
Models customer experience excellence to complex retail partner store staff. Provides coaching to retail partner's sales staff to improve the customer experience and increase customer loyalty. Increases the customer relationship management. Responds timely to retail partner requests.
**Data Analysis**
Gathers, integrates, and evaluates Microsoft and retail partner's key performance indicator (KPI) scorecard reports of financial, operations, and market share. Identifies trends within the data. Uses the data to identify behavioral focus and implement key strategies in complex stores.

**Responsibilities**
**Coaching and Training**
+ Develops and facilitates continuous training to Microsoft Consultants and the retail partner's staff regarding product knowledge, the Microsoft Brand, competitor analysis, and sales techniques.
+ Provides feedback based on financial, operations, and customer experience performance.
+ Coaches side by side and role plays to evaluate and instill behaviors (e.g., prescribed sales techniques, technical knowledge, or product knowledge) within a large number of retail sales staff.
**Drive Results**
+ Ensures goals are cascaded to the retail partner's leadership in complex stores and those views are implemented in the account strategy.
+ Operationalizes strategies aligned with retail partner's vision; identifies and creates plans to remove obstacles, influences and educates internal and external staff, and holds staff accountable by monitoring behaviors and sales data.
+ Creates a sales culture within the retail partner to foster better customer service and year-over-year growth.
**Influence Partner**
+ Conveys strategies to a large number of consultants and retail partners to better evangelize Microsoft’s products, initiatives, and promotions.
+ Connects retail partner’s sales model with Microsoft’s model and influences the partners to understand collective goals and invest time and resources into the relationship.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years retail sales experience, AND 3+ years people-management experience
+ OR Bachelor's Degree AND 3+ years retail sales experience, AND 2+ years people-management experience, AND 1+ year(s) multi-unit experience.
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years retail sales experience, AND 5+ years people-management experience, AND 2+ years multi-unit experience.
+ Proficient in Microsoft products and software.
Partner Store Market Management M3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,600 - $130,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $90,800 - $136,200 per year.
