**Operator** **Requirements** - High School Diploma or equivalent - Communication skills - Regularly lift up to fifty (50) lbs. **Duties and Responsibilities** - Processing and/or Packaging food grade and water conditioning salt. - Work safely, responsibly following all safety policies and procedures. - Communicate all concerns affecting safety, quality, productivity, and the work environment to the Supervisor. - Operate various machinery and equipment such as forklifts and working at a rate sufficient to support production demand. - Palletize finished salt bags on pallet prior to shipment with up to 50lb bags. - Label and scan into inventory finished product pallets. - Print shipment label, identify product, and apply to proper pallets. - Monitors stretch wrapping equipment, replenish empty stretch wrap rolls, may manually stretch wrap pallets when needed. - Keep stock of empty bags replenished for the bag filler. - Verify code date on product. - Visually inspect finished product for any foreign material prior to entering filler. - Visually inspect bags and pallets for damage and/or foreign material. - Responsibly for ensuring product is being filled into the correct packaging. - May be responsible for checking or verifying correct fill weight. - Complete packaging paperwork and keep accurate records of production data. - Aid and assist the technicians and supervisors. - Ensure area of responsibility is kept clean in accordance with the housekeeping and GMP policy. - Perform work according to accepted procedures and practices. - May require lengths of time in an outdoor working environment. - Assisting with basic repairs/maintenance as required and maintaining a work area clear of hazards, including sweeping, maintaining machine and equipment through regular daily housekeeping. - Perform other duties as reasonably assigned. - Understand the importance of product safety, legality, authenticity, and quality - informs the Quality Department and/or the Leadership Team of any issues prioritizing food safety issues. - Understand and comply with all Quality, Environmental Health, and Safety (QEHS) policies, especially those pertinent to the facility's Safety and HACCP program, and how it applies to the tasks performed. ```{=html} ``` **We are committed to equal employment opportunity and prohibit discrimination and harassment based on race, national origin, sex, religion, color, disability, marital status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by law.**
