Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Mid-Level Materials Management & Transportation Manager** (Level L) to join our dynamic team in **Kennedy Space Center, Florida** . Looking for an enthusiastic individual eager to develop and enhance their skills in this dynamic role.
This position requires leadership capability that collaborates effectively with peers and leads teams who have a significant impact on the Florida Space Coast Operations (FSCO) program’s safety, execution, cost, quality and schedule performance.
Primary responsibilities include leading a growing and developing team of highly skilled analysts and support coordinators; execution of daily schedule and production processes within complex programs; 24/7 operations at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Manages and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
+ Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
+ Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
+ Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
+ Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
+ Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.**
**This position is for 1st shift.**
**This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.**
**This position requires an active** **Top** **Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)**
**Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.**
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ More than 5 years of experience in supply chain or materials management.
+ More than 3 years of experience in leading teams and team development.
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation or Logistics.
+ Experience as a Materials Manager, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
+ More than 3 years of experience in change management as it relates to culture change.
+ Experience working with NASA customers.
**Typical Education/Experience:**
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+5 years' related work experience, Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)
**Relocation:**
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
**Travel:**
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $130,050 - $175,950
