JOB SUMMARY:
Supports management in coordinating activities for technicians in all assigned venues and maintains venue technical show quality by performing the following duties.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
LEADERSHIP
+ Delegates work assignments among qualified technicians. Leads work startup and stoppage, schedules breaks. Communicates and coordinates with other departments or crafts as needed. Communicates resource needs and work plans to Supervision. Provides two-way communications between technicians, supervisor, other management, and HR personnel. Monitors employee’s productivity, work habits. Actively reinforces compliance with safety requirements, wardrobe/grooming standards, driving policy, radio usage, and other UO policies. Reports all non-compliance issues to appropriate venue and/or technical leadership.
SHOW QUALITY/TRAINING
+ Maintains and shares job knowledge, assists in developing employees. Communicates performance expectations to ensure proper completion of tasks while maintaining highest levels of show quality.
+ Ensures cross-training plans are implemented for all assigned venues, personally engaging to provide technical training for best practices/techniques along with feedback to technicians. Provides technical show notes and lead observations for assigned technicians to venue management to ensure high standards of show quality are maintained.
INVENTORY TRACKING & MAINTENANCE
+ Maintains inventory of tools, equipment, material, and other UO property, ensuring proper care, maintenance, and storage is upheld.
+ Partners with Tech Maintenance to trouble shoot issues and escalate to Audio Management as needed. Ensures all daily, weekly, and monthly maintenances checks are completed.
DOCUMENTATION
+ Ensures proper completion of all technical documentation, to include daily checklists, SOPs, and other such documentation.
VENUE COVERAGE
+ Full-fills the A/V Tech role for all venues within the assigned areas of coverage to ensure uninterrupted show operation as needed.
+ Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
+ Six months to one year experience providing work direction preferred.
