JOB SUMMARY: Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of department and team members by performing the following duties. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: + Provides work direction to team members. Monitors compliance of current Company and department policies and procedures. Communicates performance, behavior standards, and expectations; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation. + Assists supervision in assigning projects to artists. Prepares project work by searching out materials, supplies, samples etc. Maintains status on project with each individual artist to ensure that directions are being followed and all finishing work is done in a timely manner and at an acceptable quality standard. + Provides assistance to the artists with their assignments as needed. Functions as a Prosthetic Artist on projects specifically assigned to the Prosthetic Lead. + Monitor equipment/supplies/facilities and initiates repair/replacement/re-order process. Monitors the progress of the process to assure timely completion. Completes administrative tasks relating to the process and other activities as assigned. + Initiate and coordinate fittings and completion work for new and existing performers. + Observe shows/character sets for makeup/prosthetics appearance notes to maintain quality. Communicate and troubleshoot with Entertainment Supervisory team members as it relates to issue/notes that have arisen surrounding makeup/prosthetics. + Organize and assist with training of new and current team members. Ensure trainer is identified and that training is being delivered per Standard Operating Procedure. + Ensure the Prosthetic/ makeup work areas remain clean and organized. + Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. + Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: + High school degree or GED required; + Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. EXPERIENCE: + Ability to meet the requirements of the Prosthetic Artist position (see specific job description) and completion of 90 days of service with Universal Orlando required. + Six months to one-year experience providing work direction, and previous makeup/prosthetics experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
