Summary
Individual responsible for the overall proper functioning of production machinery and facility equipment. The technician will engage in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL WORK AN ALTERNATE SCHEDULE THAT WILL INCLUDE WORKING WEEKENDS.
2 SHIFTS AVAILABLE WHICH WILL BE 12-HOUR SHIFTS
-7 PM to 7 AM
-7AM to 7 PM
Responsibilities
Repairs, replaces, troubleshoots calibrates and maintains production equipment e.g., conveyor bearings, belts and chains, motor/gearbox replacement, valve and pump maintenance.
-Perform wet chemistry titration testing of water quality on RO, Well, and Wastewater systems. Document the results and make corrections to the system as necessary.
-Use the building automation system to monitor utility equipment and respond to system alarms and failures.
-Receive work instructions and complete work order documentation in a computer-based maintenance management system.
-Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, belts, pump seals and wiring.
-Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems as needed.
-Inspects and maintains boilers, chillers, HVAC, and water systems.
-Diagnose and repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical components.
-Wire high voltage motors and low voltage controls
-Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
-Operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems, perform basic functions such as downloading and printing work instructions, entering data on an excel spread sheet, sending emails with attachments, and sending coherently detailed pass down notes to the team.
-Understand and ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed daily
-Follow and enforces company safety policies and procedures
-Ensure that all SQF, Organic and Non-GMO procedures are followed, no cross-contamination
-Responsible for understanding and complying with company policies and procedures.
-In collaboration with the Maintenance Manager ensure that all machinery is operating efficiently and safely.
-Effectively communicate with immediate supervisor if unable to repair machinery so appropriate vendors can be contacted.
-General building maintenance including on-going repairs of the facility. Some of those responsibilities may include but are not limited to repairing doors, locks, windows, lights, office furniture and plumbing.
-Ensures that the plant is audit ready daily with regards to maintenance of equipment and general facility appearance.
Preferred Skills
HVAC and/or Electrician License and knowledge of PLC Programmable Logic Control troubleshooting and programming preferred.
Industrial trade school, welding, pipe fitting, millwright, or electromechanics.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three years of responsible experience in equipment maintenance and facility repair. Needs to have a basic electro-mechanical understanding.
