General Maintenance Worker Location FL - Orlando Job Code 12385 # of openings 1 Apply Now (https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=AKIMEKATECH&cws=43&rid=12385) The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a General Maintenance Worker to provide support to our government customer located in Orlando, Florida. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES : + Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. + Work involves a variety of the following duties: Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; replacing broken window panes; and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery. + Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION : + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Must possess a valid driver’s license. + Certified in Backflow Preventer Testing preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : + Three (3) years related experience to the specific job description. + Ability to read, write and speak English. + Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE: + Must be a U.S. Citizen. + Must be able to pass a Federal Government background check and pre-employment urinalysis.
