Force Protection/Security Guard (Part-Time) Location FL - Orlando Job Code 12452 # of openings 1 Apply Now (https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=AKIMEKATECH&cws=43&rid=12452) The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Force Protection / Security Program Technician to support our government customer in Orlando, FL . This is a part time position. Hours are Monday-Friday: 2-8pm. DUTIES INCLUDE: + Ensuring readers, controls and locking hardware equipment, electronic security systems, antiterrorism/force protection, facilities security design and access control systems are working properly. + Processing repair and service tickets for multiple security systems such as readers, gates, and access-control equipment. + Ensuring accurate entry of restricted area badge information into multiple security systems for proper functioning and access requirement of badges. + Ensuring all badge and fingerprint paperwork is accurately completed and processes paperwork through the installation badging office. + Ensuring personnel have been properly processed through appropriate government systems before scheduling, issuing, or terminating Common Access Cards (CAC). + Ensuring security systems are maintained and operational for day-to-day operations. + Verifying appropriate clearance level and information to process outgoing visit requests. + Verifying visitor information for processing of entry control rosters. + Identifying a variety of security issues, situations, or problems, concerning badging and access, and providing appropriate corrective actions as necessary. + Providing guidance to personnel concerning the requirements for submission of a new or updated security clearance. + Ensuring all security paperwork is accurately completed. + Preparing and submitting required reports pertaining to security program. + Maintaining records according to proper instructions/guidance. + Conducting inventories and ensuring accountability of security identification badges. + Controlling and verifying authorized access to and from restricted areas. + Ensuring validity of security badges by visual recognition (i.e., expiration date, signature authority, visitor badge). + Providing information regarding individual and escorting responsibilities while in the restricted area. + Providing visitors with information about required conduct and responsibilities within the restricted areas to include the Personal Electronic Devices (PED) policy. + Coordinating with various agencies regarding restricted area badges. + Providing security support during large visits, tours, and very important person(s) (VIP) visits. + Ensuring accurate data entry, typing and word processing. + Ensuring appropriate weather-related clothing is worn when applicable when assigned to outdoor security gate. + Providing on-the-job training to other contractor personnel. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + Must have at least two (2) years of administrative experience. + Must have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word. + Must have knowledge of proper English grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: + At least a High School Diploma is required. CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: + Must have a Secret security clearance.
