As a**Field Claims Adjuster**, you will play a crucial role in investigating, evaluating, and resolving insurance claims in the Charleston County area and beyond. Youll interact directly with policyholders, witnesses, and third parties to gather essential information and assess damages, ensuring claims are processed fairly and efficiently in accordance with policy terms and company guidelines. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct on-site inspections and investigations to assess property damage and loss. - Interview policyholders, witnesses, and other parties involved to gather relevant information. - Document findings through photographs, detailed reports, and comprehensive notes. - Analyze insurance policies to determine coverage and liability. - Prepare and submit thorough reports with findings and recommendations for claim settlements. - Negotiate settlements with policyholders and third parties, ensuring fair and just outcomes. - Handle dispute resolution efficiently and professionally. - Maintain clear and professional communication with policyholders and all stakeholders. - Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and legal advisors, to resolve complex claims. - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies. - Respond to catastrophe locations as needed to support claims management efforts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Qualifications and Education Requirements:** - **Experience:**Minimum of**3+ years**in field claims adjusting, with experience dealing with public adjusters. - **Technical Skills:**Proficiency with**Xactimate**and other Xactware products; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; familiarity with local building codes and repair processes. - **Licensing and Certifications:**Valid adjusters license in South Carolina; certification or advanced training in claims adjusting (e.g., CPCU, AIC). - **Insurance Knowledge:**Strong understanding of insurance policies and claims processes. - **Location:**Must live in Horry, Onslow, Charleston, Berkeley, or Dorchester county. - **Negotiation Skills:**Excellent negotiation skills and experience in dispute resolutio . ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Physical Demands:**This role combines office work with field inspections.
