ROLE:
The SportsNext Organization is looking for a Director Quality Engineering to lead the quality and test automation for the Sports Engine platform.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Management, technical and strategic leadership for highly skilled and motivated team of SDETs/QAs distributed across multiple Scrum teams and geo-locations.
+ Develop and execute on the strategy that testing automation is how we scale with finite resources
+ Proactively drive consistency of QA approach by coaching, mentoring, monitoring and training teams on methodology and processes, to ensure that software quality is consistent across the engineering group.
+ Provide leadership to the team for achieving consistent, Monitored and measurable software quality goals.
+ Identify the areas for improvement in the current test methodologies and work with the team to address these, using metrics to measure and track progress.
+ Identify the gaps in the current automation coverage and develop a plan to increase & measure the coverage going forward.
+ Work closely with peers in Engineering and Product Management to ensure high quality and timely delivery of projects.
+ Ensure QA represents the customer by validating requirements and acceptance criteria with Product Management so that delivered products meet expectations.
+ Work with wider Engineering and Operations teams on the deployment of software and enablement of features in Production to ensure that quality is built into rollout plans.
+ Hiring and managing the best quality engineers who are software developers in test and understand software development and automation.
+ Driving development and management of Test Strategies & Test Plans.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ 8+ years of software QA experience
+ 4+ years of experience building and leading QA / SDET team
+ Intermediate to Expert level Experience with designing and implementing tests for microservice based and distributed applications
+ Experience with Cloud Technologies such Aws/Azure/GCP
+ Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment
+ Familiarity with all quality touchpoints - design, documentation, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, load/performance testing to name a few
+ Familiarity test automation frameworks and strategies
+ Passion for improving the SLDC where quality is deeply embedded
+ Continuous improvement, continuous delivery, and continuous learning mindset
