We are seeking a Director of IT to implement best practices and scale our IT infrastructure as we grow from 40 to 100 employees over the next 12 months. Primary Job Responsibilities:
Network Management:
+ Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
+ Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability.
Microsoft Entra ID Management:
+ Oversee the administration of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) for identity and access management.
+ Implement and manage user authentication and authorization processes.
OneDrive Administration:
+ Manage OneDrive for Business, including user setup, permissions, and data governance.
+ Ensure effective file sharing, collaboration, and backup processes.
User Access Control (UAC):
+ Establish and enforce user access control policies to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance.
+ Conduct regular audits of user access and permissions.
Inventory Management:
+ Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software assets.
+ Manage procurement processes for IT equipment and software licenses.
Internal Help Desk Operations:
+ Oversee the internal help desk team, ensuring timely and effective support for IT-related issues.
+ Implement and manage a ticketing system to track and resolve user requests.
Antivirus and Malware Protection:
+ Develop and enforce antivirus and malware protection strategies to safeguard the organization’s data and systems.
+ Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Strategic Planning and Development:
+ Build and develop the IT department from the ground up, creating processes and best practices.
+ Provide insights and recommendations for technology improvements and innovations.
Collaboration and Communication:
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business goals.
+ Communicate effectively with stakeholders to convey technical concepts and project updates.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
+ Strong knowledge of network architecture, design, and management.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and OneDrive for Business administration.
+ Familiarity with User Access Control (UAC) principles and inventory management processes.
+ Experience in managing internal help desk operations and support systems.
+ Knowledge of antivirus solutions and malware protection strategies.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a technical team.
+ Experience in strategic planning and execution to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
+ Self-managed with a proactive approach to building and improving the IT department.
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
+ Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address IT challenges proactively.
+ Ability to conduct assessments and provide insights for optimizing IT operations.
+ Certifications (Preferred):
+ Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
+ ITIL Certification or equivalent in IT service management.
