JOB SUMMARY: The Director, Marketing Data Governance, will lead our Digital Data Enablement, Media Ad Operations and Privacy Operations teams within the Global Marketing Analytics & Targeting (GMAT) organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, compliance, and strategic implementation of marketing data across our ecosystem. As a key leader within our organization, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to align data collection and management practices against a scalable data governance framework that enables business growth while upholding best practices in data privacy and security. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: + Leadership & Strategy + Lead and develop subject matter experts within the teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. + Define and implement a marketing data governance strategy that ensures high-quality, privacy-compliant, and actionable data enablement practices. + Influence the transition from client-side to server-side tracking to enhance data reliability, security, and privacy compliance. + Oversee the implementation of a global marketing analytics framework, ensuring consistency and scalability and governance best practices across regions. + Partner with Enterprise Data Governance at NBC and UDX to align GMAT governance policies with broad organizational priorities. + Support the transition from mParticle to RTCDP, ensuring a seamless migration and understanding among the team of core capability development. + Marketing Data Governance & Tagging + Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and management of marketing tags, across digital and paid media channels to ensure accurate data collection against business requirements and compliance with a standardized, global framework. + Influence the implementation of server-side tagging to improve data accuracy, reduce reliance on client-side cookies, and inform enhancements supporting marketing measurement disciplines. + Ensure data taxonomy and event tracking frameworks align with business intelligence and measurement needs. + Collaborate with Enterprise Data Governance team to develop standardization and enforcement of naming conventions, metadata, and governance policies across platforms. + Privacy Operations & Compliance + Lead privacy governance efforts for paid channel & other GMAT marketing use cases, ensuring compliance with evolving data regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and internal policies. + Work closely with IT, legal and Enterprise Data Governance teams to manage consent frameworks, data retention policies, and consumer data rights requests. + Serve as a subject matter expert in privacy-preserving marketing strategies, including server-side tagging, first-party data activation, and evolving cookie policies. + Cross-Functional Collaboration + Partner with engineering and data teams to implement scalable data pipelines and integrations that support marketing initiatives, including personalization. + Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in across teams. + Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. + Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Marketing, Information Systems or related field required or relevant equivalent experience. EXPERIENCE: + 10+ years of experience in marketing data governance, web analytics, or data privacy, with 5+ years in a leadership role. + Strong knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform, and experience in RTCDP or other CDPs preferred. + Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. + Expertise in media tagging, event tracking, and digital data collection frameworks. + Deep understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and how they impact marketing data governance. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: + Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Adobe Analytics Business Practitioner, IAB Digital Media Measurement & Analytics Certification, Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or equivalent of these preferred.
