**Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems** has an opening for an experienced **Composite Prototype Technician II (2nd shift)** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our **Vehicle Engineering** organization. Position is in **Melbourne, Florida.**
**Responsibilities Include:**
+ Composite material part layup and fabrication
+ Fabrication, layup, coating, and operations of CNC machines, ovens and autoclaves
+ Operates hand tools including drills, routers, and saws in high precision manufacturing processes including computer interface controls and light-duty bench or floor type machine tools
+ Operates forklifts
+ Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience laying up and fabricating composite parts
**Salary Range:** $49,900 - $83,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
