Key duties include monthly account reconciliations, basic journal entries, and diligent recordkeeping. Anderson St., Orlando, FL 32801 Please see below a complete Job description for this position. **Job Purpose:** Responsible for a variety of accounting functions including maintaining records of assigned accounts, and performing basic financial analysis. Generate and interpret financial records and statements for supervisors. Perform recordkeeping pertaining to accounts including reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis and performing basic journal entries. Communicate any issues with supervisor on a timely basis and work with coworkers to research, discuss, and develop a solution to the issue. **Primary Functions:** + Reconcile general ledger accounts to various subsystems; + Review and analyze system reports and spreadsheets and verify detailed data; + Research account variances to identify reason for variance and properly document explanation; + Prepare journal entries; + Recognize and report financial impact of issues as they occur; + Develop solutions to systemic and non-systemic problems; + Complete self-review of work product; + Develop efficient business processes; + Follow through on assignments and communication status; + Create system reports; + Compose written communication on a timely basis; + Perform other duties as assigned. **Technical Requirements:** + Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following: + General Accounting; + Basic understanding of regulatory accounting practices; + Accounting Department Procedures; + Preparing basic reconciliations; + Preparing journal entries; + Preparing spreadsheets; + Software applications related to area; + Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws; + Exhibit awillingness to learn, takes ownership and accountability for work product; + Be flexible in changing work environments; + Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; + Keen attention to detail; + Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages; + Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.). **Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study from an accredited college or university + Minimum one (1) year of experience working in Accounting or related field (preferred) **Working Conditions:** This job is absent of disagreeable working conditions. This job is performed in an office work environment. **Physical Requirements:** This job consists of sitting, speaking, hearing, reading, typing, writing, and detailed inspection.
