The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
**Role Description:**
Communicate and coordinate requests received from Flight Crew with various internal departments as well as outside vendors in support of the U.S. Department of State, DoS, Bureau for Diplomatic Security, DS, under oversight from the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Office of Aviation, INLA. This position is located in Florida.
**Key R** **esponsibility**
+ Ensure flight crew briefs comply with the programs agreement or contract and applicable regulations.
+ Verify flight crew is in position for briefed flight activities.
+ Brief both Fixed-Wing and Rotary Wing Crews on all aspects of each trip including owner or customer requests and special needs.
+ Arrange and update crew operational issues, such as early and late operations with fixed base operators and or other applicable personnel.
+ Ensure all required documentation for the flight crew briefing is accurately completed and available before the scheduled flight briefing time.
+ Serve as primary liaison between flight crews, maintenance, flight operations specialists, flight operations planners, air traffic control, and other relevant agencies, ensuring timely and effective information exchange.
+ Create, update, and manage flight schedules and passenger profiles using FLY-EA/Sky Line Software and GINL AWIS.
+ Responsible for tracking flights, coordinating schedule changes, and briefing crews on mission details, customer needs, and special considerations.
+ Provide comprehensive briefings to fixed- and rotary-wing flight crews, addressing all mission details, including customer requirements and special considerations.
+ Develop, modify, and update flight plans and travel requests using the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS), ensuring compliance with Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) requirements and site-specific diplomatic clearance protocols.
+ Be prepared to deploy and operate in austere environments as required.
+ Flight follows assigned program aircraft and update arrival and departure times.
+ Actively maintain case management documentation concerning issues impacting owner or customer flights.
+ Manages crew communication center and provides timely responses to Fixed-Wing and Rotary Wing Crews.
+ Receive inbound communications from flight crew and adhere to departmental policies and standards concerning phone call statistics.
+ Facilitate and communicate Fixed-Wing and Rotary Wing Crew transportation and other accommodation elements.
+ Initiates and conducts training within his or her respective area of responsibility as required by meeting all contract objectives.
+ Plan and coordinate flight routes in support of DOS air movement and plan all customer air movement for the daily manifest.
+ Responsible for coordinating incoming aircraft schedules and organizing cargo onto aircraft as required.
+ May be required to travel CONUS and OCONUS as mission dictates.
+ Position requires a U.S. security clearance and valid passport.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
**Basic Qualifications** **:**
+ A.A.A.S or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in an Air Operations Center, Direct Air Support Center, Base Operations, Command Post, or commercial customer service experience in airline booking, scheduling or operational position required. Other related operations experience may be considered and or substituted.
**Preferred**
+ Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, Airman Certificate, military service, and or internship with an airline or flight department is desired.
