Summary This position is a Administrative Support Assistant, GS-0303-6/7 working in Vero Beach, FL for the R4-Everglades Headwaters National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Responsibilities As a Administrative Support Assistant your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Function as a key support member for a multi-refuge complex business team performing various administrative functions such as financial management, procurement, contracting, and property inventory. Performs timekeeping duties using automated payroll system to include entry and coding of time and attendance information according to standard operating procedures and policies. Makes travel arrangements for office staff and modify travel arrangements as necessary to accomplish mission. Performs various administrative functions such as procurement, contracting, and property inventory. Prepares, review, and edit outgoing correspondence for procedural accuracy, clarity, general policy, conformity, and factual correctness using a computer and word processing software program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Only experience and education obtained by 09/02/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification GS-6 Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in Federal service. Specialized experience may include: (1) performing clerical functions, e.g., payroll, personnel, travel, and/or correspondence; (2) purchasing supplies, equipment and/or services; (3) assist in procurement and contracting procedures; (4) assisting in the review of travel vouchers; (5) serving as a timekeeper using an automated system; (6) communicate effectively with others.
