Accounting Systems Assistant - 10657

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Accounting Systems Assistant , you will perform routine clerical duties primarily in support of Costpoint Financial Systems but also other areas of the Financial Services Department. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Process weekly labor and leave; includes posting of labor, leave computation, review and posting of leave accruals, and associated notifications.. * Process payroll cycle gross-to-net (GTN); includes comparison to pay register summaries, then creation and upload of journal entries. * Adjust leave accrual balances and maintain electronic file of documentation to support adjustment. * Create account analysis for the balance sheet control account 'Accrued Salaries and Wages'. This identifies balances by employee for discrepancies between Costpoint Labor Distribution and GTN postings for each payroll cycle. * Review the balance sheet control accounts monthly for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in comparison to the detail subledger reports. . * Under close supervision, maintain assigned portions of Costpoint system table(s). * Participate in continuous improvement efforts and/or process improvement teams related to Finance.* Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: * Associates Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; OR 2 additional years of experience * 3 years of experience working in an accounting clerk role KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: * Familiarity with automated file transmission procedures * Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel * Costpoint and other Deltek systems preferred Intrepid Global Solutions, LLC.
